About Hi Rollerz Records
|
Kyle Hiersche aka Lil Fats started Hi Rollerz Records at age 11 in the year 2000. The company was officially established under Lil Fats Inc. in early 2004. Hi Rollerz Records is majority owned by Lil Fats and the co-founder Nick Hiersche, his older brother. Their long-time friend Evan Abrams soon began helping out in any way possible with the company. The year 2004 proved to be a great start as Lil Fats and Evan Abrams put together the "Drop Point Mixtape" and "Drop Point Compilation." Both of these releases were a compiled effort of Lil Fats as an artist, along with other local talents such as Vocab, F.D., Trubb, SP, AC3 & VA Slim.

Hi Rollerz Records then pressed up 4,000 copies of the "Drop Point Mixtape" and passed them out with their aggressive street team efforts to promote the upcoming release of the "Drop Point Compilation" that was soon to hit stores. The release of the "Drop Point Compilation" in the summer of 2004 also brought the "Drop Point Release Party." This event was funded and directed by Nick Hiersche and was held at The Crystal Ballroom, a popular Portland venue. The promotion for the release party was all over the city, and the crowd turned up an excited 550 fans. The release party was a huge success and gave the "Drop Point Compilation" a jumpstart in the local scene.

In 2005, with his skills developing at an amazing rate, Lil Fats moved onto recording the "Lil Fats Mixtape Vol. 1" to sell hand to hand on the streets. Hi Rollerz Records put fourth the efforts to release the mixtape selling out the first 1,000 copies in just weeks. Meanwhile, Lil Fats negotiated a Hi Rollerz contract with the labels newest talent, Young Fa-Dell (F.D.). Later that year, Hi Rollerz Records acquired a recording facility called Hi Rollerz Studios, ran by the Hi Rollerz Engineer/Producer; Young Asap. Also in 2005, with the help of Evan Abrams, Hi Rollerz Records acquired a duplicating facility to fully duplicate CD's of any kind.

Hi Rollerz Records then turned to their next project, the Young Fa-Dell solo album. However, with Lil Fats' solo album also on the way, they postponed both projects for a promotion/street release called the "Lil Fats & Young Fa-Dell Mixtape.” This mixtape has proved to be the hottest release yet and is currently in circulation on the street. The Young Fa-Dell & Lil Fats solo albums are currently in progress, with two complete five song demos available to listen to as a preview of what is to come from Hi Rollerz Records.
